Chiranjiv Charitable Trust-A Brainchild of Sushil Ansal
Philanthropy comes naturally to the Ansals. It is in their blood. Chiranji Lal, Sushil Ansal’s father founded the Human Welfare Mission, a body for the purpose of community welfare, which in 1976 was renamed as the Chiranjiv Charitable Trust by Sushil Ansal. This was done in order to cater to maximum people and to expand the reach of the several social welfare activities and schemes that were being accomplished under the purview of the Human Welfare Mission.
Spreading the light of education among children belonging to the economically weaker sections (EWS) of the society, the Chiranjiv Charitable Trust has been operating and supporting South Delhi’s Gyan Bharti School. This school is well known for the quality of education it equips its students with. The CCT is also accredited with setting up numerous schools in the Ansal API developed colonies and townships for inculcating excellent education in as many students as possible.
The year 2000 witnessed the establishment of Ansal Institute of Technology (AIT) in Gurgaon under the Chiranjiv Charitable Trust. It offers innumerable courses for a range of medical, non-medical, and other professional streams. Students also receive merit-based scholarships at AIT. Apart from the theoretical and practical aspects of academic learning, students are also taught soft skills that aids in their overall personality development. AIT was renamed as Ansal University, and was established in 2012 under the Haryana Private Universities Act, 2006.
As a part of its CSR initiative, Chiranjiv Charitable Trust, set up by the Ansals also has the Sushant School of Art and Architecture (SSAA) under its purview. It was created in 1989 and is known to be one of the best architecture institutes.
On 25th October, 2017 the sincere efforts put in by the Ansal Group were yet again recognized and rewarded when, Pranav Ansal (Ansal API) was honoured with the CSR Excellence Award at the 9th Realty Plus Excellence Awards- North.
Besides making significant contributions in the domain of school and college/university level education, the Chiranjiv Charitable Trust has various real estate and other properties in the form of commercial flats and other valuable assets also in its name.
The Chiranjiv Charitable Trust has grown up beautifully and remarkably since its birth in 1976. It is 42 years old now and has a large family in the form of children, women, and senior citizens who are the recipients/beneficiaries of CCT’s humanitarian initiatives.
